Vintage Hospitality Group Announces New High-End Italian Restaurant Now Open

Reservations now available beginning June 21

MONTGOMERY, AL – Vintage Hospitality Group is pleased to announce that its newest restaurant concept, Ravello Ristorante, is now open with reservations available beginning June 21. Located in downtown Montgomery, in an elegantly 1920s bank building Ravello offers authentic Italian dishes with versatile and local Southern ingredients.
“We are thrilled to bring this new restaurant concept to Montgomery, an emerging Southern destination with a burgeoning food scene,” says Jud Blount, proprietor of Vintage Hospitality Group. “The city has a lot of great options, but Ravello’s high-end, Italian fare will set a new standard for fine dining in our region.”
Executive Chef Eric Rivera developed a menu of simple and thoughtful dishes inspired by Italy’s Amalfi Coast with several seafood and pasta options. Guests can begin with small plates, including fresh crudo, cured meats, focaccia and burrata. The rotating selection of house-made pasta dishes will range from classics like cacio e pepe and amatricana to a rich paparadelle pasta with wild boar ragu. Seasonal main courses will include filet mignon and fire roasted branzino.
“This menu will transport diners to Italy by reflecting the simplicity and freshness of coastal Italian cuisine,” says Rivera. “I learned and practiced many of the techniques employed at Ravello while on the Amalfi Coast and I hope guests will be delighted by the authentic experience we are creating.”

Chef Rivera will offer intrigued diners an opportunity to indulge in a chef-selected tasting menu, while enjoying a view of the kitchen, at an intimate table for parties of up to 12. Each tasting menu will be personally designed with a selection of appetizers, pastas and risotto, fresh seafood, meat and a dessert, with an option to add wine pairings.

Ravello’s highly curated wine list reads like a love-letter to Italy’s Old-World approach to wine-making. It features wines produced and stylistically influenced by the Old-World and is strong in Italian, French and the new California wines, and also highlights coastal and Mediterranean fine wine regions around the globe. Libraries and verticals from boutique producers appear alongside a selection of the most powerful wines of our time.

Beverage Director Nick Ware, Alabama Restaurant and Hospitality Industry’s 2021 Bartender of the Year, has developed a drink menu of classic and specialty craft cocktails, to showcase the beauty and history of cocktail culture around the world, with a concentration on Italian and European spirits and cordials. Ware’s award-winning “A Streetcar Named Equality,” a variation of a Manhattan, includes Old Forester 1910, sweet vermouth, hoodoo chicory, pecan liqueur, cinnamon tart cranberry and apricot. The Amalfitano, which is a mix of Lunazul Tequila, solerno, dry vermouth, kumquat cordial, blood orange and lime, is also a standout. Between courses, guests will delight in sipping Ravello’s house made Limoncello, an Italian liqueur which is macerated for 30 days.
Ravello’s interiors feature ornate plaster crown moldings, expansive ceiling heights and a large-scale mural featuring an Amalfi coast vignette painted by David Braly. Multi-level dining rooms and bars offer both privacy and a chance to see and be-seen and signature cocktails will pair perfectly with sunset views of the Alabama river from Montgomery’s first and most stylish rooftop bar, set to open later this summer.
Ravello is now open for dinner service and reservations can be made now on Resy for dates following June 21. Lunch service will be launched at a later date.
